Charles Paquin (Not Represented)
Sound Technician
Service Description
Originally from Québec City, Charles Paquin is an Ottawa-based bilingual voice-over artist, narrator, senior officer in the Royal Canadian Air Force, CEO for a media and advertising production company based in the U.S. and location sound recordist. With no discernible accent cross-bleeding over either of Canada’s official languages, he started his vocal career in 2007 as a bilingual emcee for multiple live ceremonies and official presentations for the Canadian Armed Forces and the Department of National Defence. To this day, he still fulfils this role several times per year. Starting with a modest Radio Shack tape recorder at the age of 7 and pretending to be interviewing his 1 year old brother, Paquin has always been around microphones and recording audio. This "one of many" passions lead him to serve his mum's radio broadcast show as a live producer in the late 90s. He recorded most musical ensembles' concerts while he was himself a trombone performance and orchestral conducting student at Laval University's Faculty of Music (Québec City). He became, at the age of 22, one of the youngest military band conductor for the Royal Canadian Navy. After a spending most of his life experimenting with microphones and tuning his ears, working in his private recording studio and hiring other voice-over actors for his clients' projects, Paquin decided to become more social and put all his expensive microphones at the end of a stick to offer exceptional dialogue audio to filmmakers, as well as documentaries, corporate, distant learning, events and conferences producers.
